Amen Brother

Amen Brother, The Winstons (1969)

Drummer Gregory Coleman. Died homeless in 2006.
This drumbreak basically defined my past, present and will be part of my future. And even if you are not aware if it, it might be the same for you. The is just one example how one moment in time of black culture changed everything for generations to come. A universal language all around the world. And one character that has been crushed and undervalued by what came afterwards. I will never understand but i will be thankful forever. Think of it the next time you dance to it, you chop it, you bang your head. #blacklivesmatter
